Tomus Primus, 1824, Editio Tertia, auctior et Emendatior, xxxx + 488 pages; Tomus Secundus, 1828, Editio Secunda, xvi + 384 pp + Index Verborum 348 pp + Corrigenda + ads. Three volumes in two, handsomely bound in 19th century ribbed brown cloth with blind ruling to boards, gilt to spine with floriation to the borders, brown marbled boards. It appears the binding post-dates the publication. Books are sturdy and clean, front hinges starting but holding very strong, bit of foxing, one page has a small ink blot (pencil eraser size) affecting text, second volume has a bit of damp stain at lower edge/corner affecting the first 35 pages and has a bit more overall foxing than the first volume. Entirely in Latin with Horace's text surrounded by Doering's scholarly commentary. Very hard to find with the Verborum. Nice set.; 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall
