Vii + 240 pp + [2 ff] Includes: A Catalogue of Dr. Johnson's works, p.231-240, with half title, and place of publication "Dubin" (sic). What appear to be original leather boards with gilt and red spine label . Leather is smooth, one small gouge to front cover, front board nearly detached. Interior end papers quite foxed, first blank missing a large corner, back end papers have some black speckles that look like old ink spots, interior has some foxing but otherwise clean and unmarked. The author Cook was a close friend of Oliver Goldsmith and a member of S. Johnson's Essex-street Club.
