No date, but 1851 or 1852. Engraved frontis iii, 262 pp. Lavishly illustrated, plates still protected by tissue guards. This edition has cloth spine and leather corners, corners scuffed and rubbed, spine tips chipped with 1.5" loss at top of spine, joints cracked, black moire cloth boards. End papers appear to be kraft paper, hinges splitting and sewing showing, tissue guard at page 3 has a crease and a hole and is heavily foxed, some foxing throughout, rear end paper lightly stained. The steel engravings are truly beautiful. Fragile. ; 4to - over 9" - 12" tall; 262 pages
