Interior front hinge just starting, old pencil owner name, back inside cover has some small notes. 6 black and white plates. Text is clean and unmarked, just a hint of toning. A very scarce collection of stories from Mary Hancock "Dorothy" Hoskin, 1849-1928, who was born a Protestant in England but converted to Catholicism in Canada and devoted her life to the church. She helped support the Convent of the Precious Blood in Toronto and was asked to write a history of St. Basil's parish. For her service she was given an award by the Pope in 1924.
