Backstrip is faded and lifting, worn at top and bottom edge, covers bit rubbed at corners, interior has bookplate of Stephen Hemsley Longrigg (1893-1979) a British military governor, petroleum company manager and a leading authority on the history of oil in the Middle East. , as well as an unknown owner inscript dated 1956. Page 14/15 has small pinpoint spot at bottom margin, very slight small stain at bottom edge at gutter at 42-45, darkening at the gutter at index first page (possibly glue oxidation? ) , small blotch at gutter at rear endpapers, otherwise respectable.
